Telehealth

Occupational therapists can provide remote services via telehealth by:

  1. Assessment and Goal Setting: Conduct assessments, set goals, and create treatment plans through video calls.

  2. Education and Instruction: Provide information and demonstrate exercises online.

  3. Individualized Interventions: Design personalized exercises and activities for clients to do at home.

  4. Monitoring and Support: Check progress via telehealth and offer emotional support.

  5. Environmental Assessment: Assess living or working spaces through video for recommendations.

  6. Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals and help clients with technology use.

Telehealth enables Occupational Therapists to deliver care, even at a distance, promoting accessibility and safety.
